Treatment can take anywhere between 5-24 months depending on the type of treatment and the complexity of the case. You will learn more about the length of your custom treatment programme during your free consultation with our team.

Costs will vary depending on the type and complexity of your treatment. Our treatment coordinator will be able to give you an more accurate estimate of your treatment costs during your first consultation. To help keep treatment affordable, we also offer interest-free payment plans.

Cost and financing

No, your treatment will not hurt. Your teeth may feel tender after the brace is fitted or adjusted, but this feeling will fade after three or four days and can be easily managed with over-the-counter pain relief if needed.

Orthodontic treatment involves wearing a fixed or removable brace to correct the alignment of your teeth and jaws. Specialist Orthodontists have extensive training so that they can diagnose dental abnormalities and design custom treatments to fix them.

Beyond giving you a beautiful, confident smile, orthodontic treatment helps keep your teeth healthy. Crooked teeth provide places for plaque to hide, causing greater risk for tooth decay, tooth loss and gum disease. A straight smile means easier chewing, speaking and hygiene.

Absolutely not. Orthodontic treatment is available to everyone from the age 7 to 70+. Although some treatments are most effective during the early teenage years, we successfully treat children, teenagers and adults alike at CLEARLY™ Orthodontics.

Dr Deena’s extensive training allows her to treat most patients without taking teeth out. If you’ve been told you need teeth removed by another practice, please visit Dr Deena for a second opinion. In the rare case a tooth needs to be extracted, we can talk you through your options.

Your initial consultation at our Leicester practice will take around 20-30 minutes. At this stage we will focus on identifying issues, discussing your treatment options, discussing any concerns you may have and answering any questions.

Your braces will not be fitted during this visit but we may take a digital scan, and photos and X-rays of your teeth.

In most cases your brace will not affect your speech. You may experience a temporary change in speech with lingual braces, but this will disappear after a few days once your mouth becomes used to the new appliance.

If you have Invisalign® clear aligners, you can simply remove them during your usual oral hygiene routine. With fixed braces, you will need to take extra time to clean around and between each bracket. Our team can give you special tools and tips on brushing and flossing with braces.

Yes. Once your brace is removed, we will give you a custom removable retainer to wear. Retention is the most important step in any orthodontic treatment - without a retainer, your teeth will try to move back to their original positions.

Dental Monitoring is a smartphone app that enables us to track the progress of your treatment remotely. It has revolutionised the treatment experience for many of our patients, because it enables them to fit treatment into their lifestyle.
